The LA based songwriter found herself caught on the East Coast during Autumn, with COVID largely shutting travel down.
Working with collaborator Noah Wineman in upstate New York, she sculpted recent releases ‘Farm’ and a cover of Radiohead’s ‘Lift’.
New single ‘Song For Nick Drake’ is part of this creative energy, and it embodies the reclusive mystery of the English songwriter’s own work.
Partly a salute and partly a statement of personal sensitivity, ‘Song For Nick Drake’ has an opaque quality, almost precluding itself from your stereo.
Beautifully done, it finds Skullcrusher sketching out further elements of her creative universe.
