“I wanted it to feel like a warm hug…”Lauren Faith has shared her new single ‘Hold You Close’.
The songwriter re-contextualises club tropes within a pop format, allowing her to dig a little deeper in the process.
New single ‘Hold You Close’ is an uplifting bop, one that melds together house textures with her confident, assured vocal.
A song about connection and reaching out, ‘Hold You Close’ is expertly timed, with the easing of lockdown, the coming of Spring, and an increase in communal vibes.
Lauren Faith comments…
“When I wrote this song I wanted it to feel like a warm hug. Music is there to make people feel at ease or understand whatever’s going on in their life at that time, and I think people need a hug right now more than ever. There’s a warmth to the production combined with my vocal and the retro pop aura, which is perfect for those early evenings as the sun is going down and you get to see the real beauty of the city I live in.”
Tune in now.
