Watch the brooding new trailer…Manic Street Preachers have started to tease their new album.
The Welsh band last released a full studio album in 2018, with ‘Resistance Is Futile’ earning widespread acclaim.
Since then singer James Dean Bradfield has released a solo album inspired by the life and work of Victor Jara, while lyricist Nicky Wire is also said to have been toying with solo ideas.
New album ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’ is incoming – there’s no release date as yet, but the band have placed a teaser online.
A mosaic of new ideas, at one point James Dean Bradfield can be heard singing: “Is this just the beginning…?”
As NME point out, one song – ‘Orwellian Times’ – has previously been teased in interviews by Nicky Wire.
Check out the trailer in full below.
